hen the government rushed out its
proposals on elderly care earlier this
year, commentators branded it the
‘dementia tax’ and, following the
feedback, the idea was quickly dropped.
However, the issue of care costs isn’t
going away; so we asked Faith Glasgow to look at what estate-planning
measures people could consider to help protect themselves in later life.
